Las 16 mejores canciones U2.
Es una lista un tanto personal (no siguen un orden de “mejor a peor”; dependiendo del momento unas me gustan más o menos) por lo que voy a dar mis razones para incluir esta 16 canciones de U2 en mi “The Best of U2″

1.-With or Without You (U2 album The Joshua Tree)
Tal vez una de las mejores canciones de todos los tiempos; todos están perfectos, Adam, al bajo, hace uno de sus mejores trabajos. Bono “acerto” con la letra. The Edge y su infinite guitar…sin palabras. Larry aporta la perfecta base ritmica para la canción.
2.-Where The Streets Have No Name (U2 album The Joshua Tree)
Esta canción tiene “algo” que te anima al instante. ¿Quién no recuerda haber visto el video por primera vez en la MTV?
3.-I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For (U2 album The Joshua Tree)
Lo que más me gusta de esta canción, sin duda, es la letra:

4.-The Electric Co. (U2 album Boy)
¿Y por que no I will Follow o Out of Control? Podría ser, pero los acordes de guitarra de esta canción me parecen increíbles…
5.-Sunday Bloody Sunday (U2 album war)
Una de las canciones de U2 por excelencia: con una fuerte carga social y de denuncia, comprometiéndose con su entorno.
6.-Pride (In The Name Of Love) (U2 album The Unforgettable Fire)
Lo mismo, Bono y U2 intentan reflejar unos valores que todos deberíamos ser capaces de alcanzar.
7.-One (U2 album Achtung Baby)
Que decir de One que no haya dicho ya en : One U2 : Historia de One
8.-Ultraviolet (Light My Way) (U2 album Achtung Baby)
Canción que he redescubierto hace poco: su version en directo durante ZOOTV es sencillamente espectacular.
9.-Stay (Faraway, So Close!) (U2 album Zooropa)
Simplemente: ¡me gusta!
10.-Kite (U2 album All That You Can’t Leave Behind)
Otra de las canciones de u2 que estoy escuchando últimamente. Me paso desapercibida cunado compre el album, pero cuanto más la escucho, más me gusta.
11.-Elevation (U2 album All That You Can’t Leave Behind)
Canción que apareció en la banda sonora de Tomb Raider y que es, sin duda, una de las mejores canciones de u2 en directo.
12.-Vertigo (U2 album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb)
Otra de las mejores canciones de U2 en directo. U2 demostró que estaba en su mejor momento.
13.-Original Of The Species (U2 album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb)
Otra de las joyas de How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, sobre todo si también ves su video.
14.-Window In The Skies (U2 album U218 Singles)
Y no por ser la última en aparecer, iba a ser peor. La colaboración con el productor Rick Rubin, salio perfecta.
15.-Beautiful Day (U2 album All That You Can’t Leave Behind)
Otra de esas canciones de U2 que hay que escuchar cuando uno se levanta a trabajar por las mañanas.
16.-All I Want Is You (U2 album Rattle and Hum)
Simplemente….me trae buenos recuerdos.

Guauuuu hace años fanática de la banda y si no llega a mis manos la direc de este blog, no me entero de ene cosas… me gustó mucho como lo planteas todo, esta super entretenido, asi q tengo lectura para rato… sobre las canciones de U2 favoritas para ti, están todas buenisimas… yo quiero agregar una a tu lista, pq aunq todas me parecen geniales, hay algunas q tb causan en mi, cierto tipo de atracción… entre ellas, “Acrobat”, q me encanta, ah! y comparto contigo el primer lugar de tu ranking de canciones… me encanta “with or without you”… de todas maneras.

Hola!!! En primer lugar, excelente blog, me ha encantado!!! presiento que lo visitaré muy a menudo ya que soy gran fan de U2.
De tu lista hecho de menos canciones como “Stuck in a moment you can´t get out of”, u otras más nuevas como “Sometimes you can´t make it on your own” y “City of blinding lights”. Por lo demás, muy de acuerdo también con tu lista, son mis favoritas también !!!

La verdad es que todas las canciones que ponéis son clasicos de U2…¡es realmente complicado elegir!
Es buenisimo este espacio de U2fan y verdaderamente soy un superfan de U2 para mi el concierto en Chicago y El de Irlanda en el 2001 son buenos y U2 hace esos conciertos muy extraordinarios ya que sus luces y el espaci es perfecto.Para mi la mejores canciones de U2 son:

Pue sbueno yo decir q…
ULtraviolet es sin duda la mejor cancion de U2 es incomprensible q no hay asido single y ni siqiera la incluyan en directos “oficiales” en Dvd, es redondo , sus arreglos, el empezar la guitarra perfecta, emociona,es epica como tiene q ser toda cancion de u2, y Bono en directo la despacha con toda su fuerza vocal, es una cancion q cuanto mas la escuchas mas t gusta.
Otra, please…qiza la canicon musicalmente mas correcta de u2, perfecta la bateria de larry (escuchendla con cascos) l avoz habalndo de bono, y ese riff de guitarra de the edge, ademas de la linea marcante de bajo, hacedme caso las canciones mejor escuchandolas con unos buenos cascos y a solas, Y ocmo no otra cancion q en directo sube sube y sube hasta el extasis.
Tb m gustan One three HIll, vocalmente grandiosa, Bad en directo enorme, 11 o’clock tick tock q con su la la la es un himno no explotado, Dirty Day q suena muchisimo mejor en directo q la version de estudio, y porq s eolvida la gente de Lemon, una cancion q marco una epoca en el año 93???, son grandes tb With a shout(jerusalem) con ese empezar fuerte mordiendo de la guitarra y la abteria, tb con fuerza juvenil Like a song, cancion llena de rabia q seguramente si alguien la grabara otra vez seria juvenilmente “molona” y asi varias mas q ahor amismo y dejando a un lado las canciones miticas de U2 creo q s emerecerian otra oportunidad…MIami, New York, Until the end of the world(aunq si tuvo su exito sin ser una cancion sin estribillo)SALU2

Muy buenas, la verdad es la primera vez que escribo en un foro pero no puedo resistirme ante semejante curiosidad de hacer un ranking de temas de u2, admiro a los que pueden, yo no, es como preguntarme a cual de mis hijos quiero mas. Bueno, mi razon de escribir es para hablar de un tema que no aparece en ninguna lista, y no me extraña ya que no es de los mas escuchados de u2, pero que sin embargo, creo que contiene el adn de u2, la escencia por asi decir, este tema es “wake up dead man”, y me refiero a este fragmento en particular:

y me olvido miles de temas mas
Que buena pagina, seria dificil hacer una lista y ponerlas en un orden , eso muy relativo, porque lo que para mi es la mejor cancion para otros no lo puede ser tanto, no se que estan evaluando , si la voz de Bono ,las inspiradoras letras de canciones, la musica en general, los solos de guitarra de the edge, la bateria de Larry o el bajo de Adam. Para mi todas las canciones que pusieron arriba estan mas que excelentes todas estan bien echas, bien escritas, son magicas , porque cuando se juntan los cuatros hacen magia con la musica.
A mi siempre me han gustado mas las versiones en vivo de U2 excepto Acrobat y solo porque no la cantan en vivo, creo que es una banda que se suena mejor en directo , tienen mas potencial en vivo y las siguientes son algunas de las versiones en vivo de U2 que mas me gustan, no van en orden.

Sencillamente espectacular. No soy de escribir en foros no en blogs, pero resisitir la tentasión de escribir sobre U2 es muy fuerte. Soy de Argentina, de un pueblito llamado Ingeniero Huergo y escuché U2 a los 11 años (en 1987) en casette a Bajo Un Cielo Rojo Sangre. Ayudaba a mi mamá en la casa y repetía hasta el cansancio Sunday, Bloody Sunday. Desde entonces comene a adorar esta banda. Por aquellos años no era tan popular como ahora.
